Concierge Service at The Grid is for families who want our team to to find the perfect FVA match for them- we find, vet, and do preliminary interviews to find you the trained FVA who best fit your needs. We help you transition to employing your FVA with contracts, NDAs, and recommended scope of work.

What if we hire a FVA and it's not the right fit?

Our Concierge Services team wants to ensure a great fit. If after your 2 week onboarding you feel your FVA is not a great fit for your family, we will work to find a great one! (Psst: Our match rate is currently 100% successful! Every FVA we have matched with a family have been the perfect fit.)

How much does an FVA with Concierge Services cost?

Our fee is a matching fee, and every FVA sets their own prices individually based on several factors- but most FVA’s in Concierge Services are $20-27/hr with a few outliers on either side! As little as 4-5hrs/week makes a big difference in many homes! With Concierge Services at The Grid, our team works with your budget and needs to find the best fit for your family.

What does the Concierge Services fee cover?

After filling out the family application, Concierge Services starts with a personal one-on-one call with Dr. Brittany Bankhead (our Founder & CEO) to get a real understanding of your family's needs, preferences, and priorities. She also provides directed and guided feedback for your family on how to integrate the FVA in order to make onboarding for you & your FVA seamless. We perform background checks, resume checks, reference checks, and do preliminary interviews with prospective candidates. Our team then handpicks 2 candidates from our certified FVA directory based on everything we’ve learned about you and whom we feel would be the best fit for your family.

We coordinate your interviews and provide a hiring question bank as a guide to get started- so all you have to do is show up, have a conversation, and “feel the vibes!” Once you've chosen your FVA, we provide a sample contract and NDA, and guidance on how to hit the ground running. If the first round of candidates isn't quite right- we go back and find you better options at no extra cost. From first call to first day, we're with you every step of the way to find the perfect fit for your long term partnership.

What if I need more or less hours than I thought?

Communication is key once you've hired your FVA directly. Let your FVA know if any family changes are on the horizon so they are prepared for a change in workload.

Question 6

Do I have to pay taxes for my FVA?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, your FVA will work with you as an independent contractor- which means they are responsible for managing their own taxes. You would not typically withhold taxes on their behalf the way an employer would for a salaried employee. As always, we recommend checking with your accountant or tax professional to confirm what applies to your specific situation.
